Hello! I'm Eric, a diplomat-pursuer turned designer. Currently based in NYC, I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in August 2022, where I studied International Relations and Computer Science.
Why Design?
I began my journey learning about the way the world evolves through the lens of international politics but shifted to design because of a desire to create societal change from the smallest level - how we interact with the world around us through technology.
What do you do?
When it comes to design, I've worn many hats - from 0 to 1 blue sky projects, to tweaking interactions, to establishing design systems. I enjoy breaking down complex systemic problems and solving it from the elemental level.
What's next?
I believe that any interface must contribute tangible value and help us experience the real world. I hope to gain a greater product sense, develop an eye for detail, and experiment with new interaction concepts. Some areas of design that I am really interested in are multimodal input, LLM, and AR/VR.
